MotherSafe is a free telephone service for the women of NSW, based at the Royal Hospital for Women, Randwick. MotherSafe provides a counselling service for women and their healthcare providers concerns about exposures during pregnancy and breastfeeding, including prescription drugs, over-the-counter medications, street drugs, infections, radiation and occupational exposures

PANDA (Perinatal Anxiety & Depression Australia) supports parents and families during pregnancy and throughout the first year of parenthood. PANDA is a free phone and online service providing access to counselling and information to support mental health and wellbeing, wit a mission to create a world where perinatal mental health is understood and valued.

Writing a birth plan can be a helpful and empowering activity, allowing you to think about your goals and priorities. This particular birth plan is the best I have seen, and a resource that I am happy to share with my patients.

What to Bring to Hospital
Bring anything you like to make yourself comfortable during labour, your favourite pillow, snacks, music, oil. etc. There are only a few items that you are not able to bring, including a hot water bottle, heat packs and any candles with naked flames.
